Offutt Riders

Leadership Meeting
The meeting was called to order by the Director Rob
Miner at 1130hr. In attendance were:
Director Rob
Miner
Mentor Scott
Wilhelm
Fundraiser Pastor
Rordy
Website POC and Photographer Carl Brown
Membership Scott Spicer
Secretary Mike
Wangberg
Items of business were:
1.
“Getting the word out” and
2.
The Charter.
1. Posting flyers at cafeterias – Stratcom, Doghouse (Bldg D), Dining Halls, MPF, Welcome Center, First Sergeants Assoc, and any bulletin boards where they will let us? Others?
2. Tri-folds – Especially used at MPF, Vehicle Registration, First Sergeants Assoc, and others?
3. Business Cards – to be carried by members and used as often as possible.
Question: can we get these items published through military graphics sources?
- Access to membership – restricted and, if so, how much? Suggested was “unlimited access to base for vehicles”? This paragraph refers to Article III, Section A: Membership. As the leadership of ORA, we agreed that restricting the membership has both good and bad points. Your comments:
- Membership – “known or unknown outlaw motorcycle club”? Same reference as above is a quote from the example charter we used. We suggest deleting that statement. Your comments:
- “Jointly and severely liable for the finances and obligations of the ORA” – documentation. This statement refers to Article III, Section A. This is an area of concern – our questions are below.
*What is Little Rock doing on this?
*Can we limit the clause and/or liability of the charter?
*Club sign up that limits the membership, club, and officers?
*Waiver of Liability, address to Legal Office?
*Address question back to Legal Office?
Your comments:
Membership standards of conduct: loss of base or more driving privileges. Referring to Article III, Section C & E –
*Before or after conviction of DUI/DWI/other offenses?
*Delete this particular paragraph/clause?
*Should members have a contract to sign upon registering and paying the initial dues?
Your comments:
- Legal definition of impairment/disability – able to ride safely? Redefine? Referring to Bylaws, Article 1, Section C, # 6 and recognizing that we don’t want to get into a argument with ADA, etc.
Your comments:
- Association funds – initial dues, fundraisers, pay-as-you-go for rides and activities, etc.
