14 September 2010 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was called to order by the President at 6:35 PM. Present were 10 members and 1 visitor. Meeting was held at Lansky’s.

Minutes from August were previously approved by the President and posted to the website.

Treasurer’s report (Mike Dunn):

+ Current balance is $1,235.93.

+ Dues are due.

+ We still have a supply of T-shirts and prices are $15 per shirt.

Old Business:

+ De-Soto Run

- It was reported the park system is having a free weekend. It was suggested our ride to there on that weekend.

+ Ride to Kansas City

- Discussed visiting the H-D factory/museum on this ride and one of the popular BBQ restaurants. Planning for 9 Oct (rain is 16 Oct), meeting at Bucky’s at 8AM. More to come (Ed note: since the meeting, Philip found out the factory does not have tours on the weekend. I suggested touring Royals and Kaufman (Chiefs) stadiums. Open for other KC destinations from the membership.)

+ Freedom Rock & covered bridges in the area

- Still open for discussion

- The best source of local rides/events is www.Omahabiker.com <http://www.omahabiker.com/> .

- Watch the message board for opportunities to meet and ride. Appropriately, you can post rides and other opportunities to get on the bike and meet other ORA members or other bikers in general.

+ Ride Suggestions

- No new ones suggested during this meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:02 PM

The 50/50 ($6) went to Mike Tucker.

Next meeting will be 12 October, 6:30 PM, Lansky’s on 370. The room is available by 6 PM to eat early if you would like.
