10 November 2009 Meeting Minutes

President and Vice President were both absent, meeting was called to order by the Treasurer Mike Dunn at 6:35 PM.  9 members present, including one new member, Steve Michaelsen.

Minutes from last meeting were reviewed.  Motion to approve, seconded, and carried.

Treasurer’s report (Mike Dunn):

            Current balance is $1,041.22.

Old Business:  

    + Gloria from Breeze Cycles visited the group. She has an offer from Triumph Motorcycles to sponsor a promotional truck to Omaha. She would like to better partner with the ORA and Offutt, and would like to see about getting the truck sponsored on base. She needs to respond to Triumph by Dec; we can check with base safety or AAFES to see if they’d like to partner. She and Mike exchanged business cards for contact.

    + Association funds

            Discussed again about what to use our funds for and everyone like the idea of sponsoring an MSF class for those ORA members who otherwise would have to pay for the class on base. This was tabled till the spring but a great idea.

   + Elections

            The following people were nominated and if there are no other nominees they will assume office 1 January 2010, if we receive other nominations then the vote will be the 8^th of December 2009.

     + Holiday Party

            Because of it being the last minute and not having a place to hold a party it was suggested to have the party in January, motion was seconded and approved. Mike Dunn is checking into getting the pavilion out at the base lake and the outgoing officers will work with the incoming officers to set the party up, more to come but bring your ideas to the December meeting.

   + Base Organization

           This is still a work in progress, the outgoing BOD will assist the incoming with this project if needed but the general consensus is the association still wants to move forward with this.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:15 PM

50/50 was $6 to the winner, guess who? Yup Pastor Rordy!!!

Next meeting will be 8 December, 6:30 PM, Rumors Lounge basement meeting room.
